Add students individually with pronouns support and learn about deactivating vs deleting students.

    Adding Students

Each student in your class needs a profile before you can generate their report comments.

    Adding a Student

    1. Open Your Class

Navigate to Classes and click on the class where you want to add students.

    2. Click "Add Student"

    Enter the student's details:

    • First name – Required
    • Last name – Optional but recommended
    • Pronouns – Choose from he/him, she/her, or they/them

    3. Why Pronouns Matter

ReportRocket uses pronouns to generate grammatically correct comments. For example:

    • He/him: "James has demonstrated strong understanding. He consistently..."
    • She/her: "Emma has demonstrated strong understanding. She consistently..."
    • They/them: "Alex has demonstrated strong understanding. They consistently..."
Tip: If unsure, "they/them" works as a neutral option that reads naturally.

    Managing Students

    Viewing Students

Your class page shows all students with their:

    • Name and pronouns
    • Report status (not started, in progress, complete)
    • Quick actions

    Editing Students

Click on a student's name to update their details at any time.

    Deactivating vs Deleting

    • Deactivate – Hides the student but keeps their data. Use when a student leaves mid-term but you need records.
    • Delete – Permanently removes the student and all their reports. Cannot be undone.

    Semester Switching

Students carry over between semesters. When you switch semesters:

    • Student profiles remain
    • Previous semester reports are preserved
    • New semester starts fresh for report generation
