Learn how to recall a Review Pack that's currently with a reviewer.
When to Recall
Recall a pack when:
- You need to make urgent corrections
- The wrong reports were included
- You need the reports back before the reviewer finishes
How Recall Works
Step 1: Request Recall
- Open the pack you want to recall
- Click "Recall Pack"
- Enter a reason (helps the reviewer understand urgency)
- Submit the request
Step 2: Reviewer Responds
The reviewer receives a notification and can:
- Release – Returns the pack to you immediately
- Continue reviewing – Finishes their review first
Step 3: Pack Returns
Once released, the pack:
- Returns to your control
- Status changes to "Draft"
- Previous annotations are preserved
Urgent Recalls
For emergencies, school administrators can force-recall packs:
- Admin navigates to Review Packs
- Finds the stuck pack
- Uses "Force Recall" option
- Pack immediately returns (no reviewer approval needed)
Recall Expiry
Recall requests expire after 15 minutes if not responded to. After expiry:
- Submit a new request
- Or wait for the reviewer to complete naturally
Best Practices
Before Sending
- Double-check which reports you're including
- Ensure all reports are ready for review
- Communicate with your reviewer about timing
When Recalling
- Be specific about why you need the pack back
- Apologise for the interruption
- Provide a new timeline if re-sending
What Happens to Annotations?
If the reviewer had started adding annotations:
- Annotations are preserved
- They'll be visible when you edit reports
- Useful even if review wasn't complete
